Hi. I'm Sam.

It’s lovely to e-meet you! Thanks a million for being here!
(...per favore scusa le mie parolacce -- It’s just how I speak).

I’m a creative who brings big ideas to life. Sometimes those ideas are my own. Sometimes those ideas belong to others. I’m a strategist, a creative, a producer, a brand builder.

There are so many different “titles” that my skill-set falls under, so why don’t we just go ahead and say that I do anything + everything under the umbrella of “brand.”

I’m the “figure-it-out” person that my clients call when they know they need direction, but they don’t know if they should hit the gas or put the car in park and take their hands off the wheel.

The hired-gun, if you will.

I’ve managed teams + big personalities. I’ve produced projects with massive budget + projects with no budget.  I’ve raised funding. I’ve created and launched brands. I’ve produced content. I’ve booked bands. I taught myself photoshop. I take a 3 month digital marketing master class every year (B-SCHOOL, if you’re interested). I’ve produced music videos. I’ve written songs and been featured on music artists’ records. I’ve produced a more events than you’ve attended. Bet. I’ve toured with bands. I’ve styled artists. I’ve branded artists. I’ve branded Founder and CEOs. I’ve been a copywriter (ghost + forward facing) for every single brand, band, and business I’ve worked with. Hell, I’ve even modeled for a handful of them.

Here’s the deal — I will roll up my sleeves + huck cases of beer off a truck if it needs to be done — I was taught to get the job done with a massive smile on my face. It’s where I come from. It’s who I am.

I started freelancing in 2016, managing brand’s for my private clients. I spent days, nights, and weekends working with my clients to define and secure their foundational brand strategy, move them into the rebrand process, shepard deliverables through to their deadlines, and connect the dots through the campaign + product development process. During this time I also dove head-first into the adventures of working with C-level executives and entrepreneurs to craft and execute their personal brands.

I have over a 15+ years of experience on the brand side, the agency side, the freelance side, and with start-ups, spanning every role from Intern to Producer to VP.  Before stepping out on my own, I sharpened my teeth with 72andSunny, Red Bull, and Volcom, to name a few favs.  I even fought in the trenches of a startup lifestyle brand, writing + selling my first business plan before the age of 25… within 3 months of the deck being finished. Real-talk: sure, I may have had no clue what I was doing at 25, and looking back it was legitimately trial-by-fire, but when you get the opportunity to swim in the deep end with the sharks, you learn how to swim. And bite.

Working in multiple capacities is my second nature. Some might call it “multi-tasking.” I call it “necessity in business.”

I’m proud to have the freedom to align myself with strategic partners, brands, and agencies whose ethos align with my own.  I’m grateful to continue to develop new client relationships across the globe.

I’ve collaborated with teams of all shapes + sizes, working together to build brand and business strategies within a wide variety of markets from action-sports to entertainment to fashion to cannabis.  Maneuvering in + out of several different segments at once is, again, necessity.

This is, for sure, a run-on sentence, but bare with me: Uncovering clarity for my clients through driving the development of their brand messaging, positioning, and mission, and engaging with that foundation to hit their goals in parallel path with fail-proof, industry-specific strategies so that they can execute their vision — THAT is why I’m here, and THAT is what I do.

My Personal Background // I was born + raised in the DC-Metro Area, and stomped the live music + events scene of DMV at some of the most legendary venues + radio stations by the age of 12... I found my heartbeat in entertainment early on. Baptized by DC punk rock, hailing from a family legacy that went head-to-head with Nixon and J. Edgar Hoover, I learned to channel my innate anti-authoritarianism into school and picked a desired career path that embraced my inner-rebel. Surf, Skate, Music… I had to move to California, right? I graduated from UC Berkeley, transplanted to SoCal for a decade, beach lifeguarded in OBX for 2 years, soaked up a wonderful year in Charleston, SC, and am currently baking and bronzing in Palm Beach, FL with my hot babe husband, Colin.

 PHILOSOPHY + MISSION

The motto: FUCK IT. Hit the link if you don’t know what that means.

There is a point where creative ideation, strategy and execution meet, and THAT point is where I live.  -- And not just professionally either. This is in all aspects of my life.

We all wear different hats -- the computer programmer who is a stand up comedian on nights + weekends.  The graphic designer who also runs a female-empowerment NPO. The lawyer who races cars. The choreographer who is also a FinTech VP… you catch my drift, right?

I believe that every single human being on the planet is creative in some way, shape, or form.  I believe that creativity manifests itself in ways that we haven’t quite nailed down as a society yet.  “Creativity” is no longer reserved for painters and poets, but for everybody. Some people get creative with Excel spreadsheets.  Some people write lyrics. Some people teach lions, tigers, and bears (oh, my!) how to perform on camera. It’s all CREATIVITY. So, that’s my philosophy when it comes to what I DO - meaning - professionally… my philosophy about career, work, and execution.

I am on a mission to explore the duality of human nature + creativity.  I’m on a mission to normalize the life of a “creative entrepreneur,” and carve out space for freelancers + creatives to thrive professionally + personally.

With all of the incredible mentorship + collaboration that I’ve had the opportunity to consume, give, and participate in, my time executing creative vision left me asking these questions:

What is the driving force behind creativity?

Is the duality of human-ness present in everyone and everything or just a select few?

I believe that everyone on the planet is here for a purpose. I believe that self-confidence and self-worth comes directly from identifying and focusing in on that purpose. We only do this thing called life one time. ONE TIME. And when my ashes are being scattered across the globe at every badass surf break that’s left, I hope that my work here gave at least one other human being the balls to say, “FUCK IT,” go after their dreams + find their creative voice.

I’ll step off my soapbox now 😘
